It's very relatable to the everyday layman that it become like reading something one has already experienced. The ending is powerful and final. I want to know what happens next but I also don't want to ruin the effect of the desperation. I don't want to be told what happened just leave it to all the possibilities of 'what if..' Good suspenseful. story. For the first time, I regret writing something -- and I have written some very bad pieces, whether bad by social standards, like the rape scene in "Whispers in the Darkness" or the suicide in "The Great Rest", or in terms of bad writing, like the scenes of "Mathias" and "The Gibbons Angel" and even this latest piece).

For that, I apologize, but I will stand by my work since there was a valid idea behind the concept, despite my clearly having missed it.

Finally, and as always, enjoy if you will or don't if you won't!Cicadahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04312019928796104523noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6454866046145786856.post-53363128664944348152013-07-31T07:26:56.412-07:002013-07-31T07:26:56.412-07:00This is really interesting, You're a very skil...This is really interesting, You're a very skilled blogger. (Truthfully I have been intending to do this for a while now, but more often than not I lack the time to do so. In some cases I have even been forced to write the story the night before.)Cicadahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04312019928796104523noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6454866046145786856.post-16386655528956350952013-05-02T08:57:04.303-07:002013-05-02T08:57:04.303-07:00There we go, fixed the error.

I mean, seriously, is it too much to ask for a word like 'mercuric' meaning: of or related to the Greek god, Mercury. Or how about aric, meaning: of or related to the Greek god, Ares.Cicadahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04312019928796104523noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6454866046145786856.post-48071145432125166922013-05-02T08:46:00.135-07:002013-05-02T08:46:00.135-07:00I will admit that 'Mercuric' is not entire...I will admit that 'Mercuric' is not entirely a preexisting word. In this case it is meant as a reference to the Greek god, Mercury, though I realize now that you point it out that such may have been a mistaken nuance. For some reason when I wrote this I was under the impression that Mercury was, in fact, the Greek god of war... when it turns out that it really isn't.

Just one downfall of my "schizophrenic writing"*, I guess.

*"Schizophrenic writing" is a term I began coining for my own style long ago, where once I fall into my writing trance I tend not to realize what exactly I'm writing about until I after reread it all at the end. In such a situation it can seem as though I step backward in my mind to allow another version of myself to do the writing, while my true mind wanders aimlessly. Add music to the mix and I can lose whole hours doing much of the same thing.Cicadahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04312019928796104523noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6454866046145786856.post-5143676567456164882013-05-02T07:38:18.567-07:002013-05-02T07:38:18.567-07:00I'd like to know more.
